About the Author

Kent Redeker was recently awarded a Peabody Award for his work writing for the hit Disney Jr. show Doc McStuffins. He has written for several other children’s programs including Sheriff Callie’s Wild West and Jungle Junction and is also the author of Don’t Squish the Sasquatch! He performs around the country with his improv group Comrade! and currently resides a mile from the beach in Marina del Rey, California.


Bob Staake (http://www.bobstaake.com) has authored and illustrated over sixty books, including The Red Lemon, named by the New York Times as one of the Ten Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2006 Look! Another Book! Bluebird and My Pet Book. His work has been featured in many magazines, including a New Yorker cover entitled Reflection, which was named by TIME as #1 in their list of Top 10 Magazine Covers of 2008. Bob lives and works in Chatham, Massachusetts.

Bob Staake is a prolific author, illustrator, editorial artist, and graphic designer. He has authored and/or illustrated over seventy-five books, including The Donut Chef, Bluebird, Bugs Galore, Hello Robots, Look! A Book!, Look! Another Book!, This Is NOT A Pumpkin, Pets Go Pop!, and others. The New York Times named his book The Red Lemon one of the 10 Best Illustrated Books of 2006. Staake’s children’s books have been translated into over 12 languages around the world. He lives and works in Chatham, MA in a 200-year-old house on the elbow of Cape Cod.
