Bob Katz is coauthor of The New Public School Parent (Penguin, 2002), termed “the best book available for parents sending their children to public schools”, according to bestselling author Mel Levine. He is also author of the novel Hot Air (Birch Lane), termed “a thoughtful, amusing debut” by Kirkus and optioned for a movie by MGM. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, Newsweek, Parents, USA Today, Mother Jones, Chicago Tribune, Family Life, the Nation, Boston Globe, Parenting, Christian Science Monitor, and many other publications. In addition, he has appeared on NPR, CNN’s Talk Back Live, ABC’s Good Morning America, and many other TV and radio programs. He lives in Massachusetts.
